We have a pulse oximeter!! And, Mommy slept lots. Turns out, Emery's satting great and probably doesn't need all of the O2 that he is getting, but I'm not going to mess with it until we go back for our appointment in 2 weeks. We also have been changing his tank without putting him on the portable tank and he's not dropping his sats at all. Granted, Erik can do it in all of 20 seconds, but it's encouraging. The pump worked all night last night, too! I almost feel recharged. My mother-in-law has been coming over in the afternoons to visit and play with Em, and she's been letting me nap, and now with the pulse ox I felt so much better and slept. For the first few nights I kept getting up and checking to see if he was breathing ( he has an apnea monitor but I kept checking him to be sure) and then I kept pulling his cannula out to make sure he was getting oxygen. Now, I can leave him alone all night, too. Gee, go figure. He slept about 12 hours last night :)
