Happy 4th of July! Today, Erik and I are not picknicking or boating. We are hanging out in a hospital room and spending time with Emery. Of course it is wonderful. He's doing pretty well. He has, get this, now taken his full feed of 75 mL on 3 different occasions. Today, he took his entire feed from Daddy. We get to feed him by bottle now 3 times a day, just not back to back. He's really getting big and strong. There isn't much new about Emery. The doc rounding for the first half of July came by yesterday and said "he's got severe lung disease. It could take weeks, if not months, to get him home." At this point, though, neither of us care. I get to be with Emery a lot and it's nice. Plus, I still get to sleep in and take naps whenever I want. I can also leave and shop and never hire a baby sitter. (not that I shop for anything, but the fact is, I can do it if I want.) Daddy and Emery are napping right now. That bottle was hard work!
