Well, crap. I went back downstairs and Emery was hooked up to the nitric oxide tank saturtaing 97% at 45% oxygen.... when I got here he was saturating 78% to 88% at 65% to 75% oxygen. That stuff works fast. He's desatted a couple of times, but holy cow I've never seen anything work so fast. They don't think this will shorten his time on the vent at all, but they are hoping it will lessen the injury caused by it.
